Rekindle: A Shabbat Studio has ended
Rekindle: A Shabbat Studio is a forum of learning, sharing, community building and radical amazement. The Studio included a range of formal and informal activities (including peer-led happenings and sessions, open space discussions and workshops) all designed to facilitate connections between Shabbat innovators – the movers and shakers of creative Shabbat programming around the world – and catalyze a community of practice.

Jewish Community Center San Francisco
Director of Taube Koret Center for Jewish Peoplehood
David Green is Director of the Taube Koret Center for Jewish Peoplehood at the JCCSF. He and his team produce holiday programs, adult Jewish education and Tikkun Olam activities for an audience ranging in age, affiliation and expectations about what a Jewish program can be. Creating opportunities for people to use art, religion, and public space to ask questions of themselves and others have convinced him of the value that ancient sources offer modern life, and how much fun they are to discuss. David studied Jewish thought at the Pardes Institute in Jerusalem, and Classics at Occidental College in Los Angeles. He lives in the Richmond district, swims as often as possible, and likes designing games as much as playing them.
