Rabbi Lee weaves ancient wisdom with group dynamics and practical knowledge to advance the collective project of evolving Jewish life and community. She joined the Lippman Kanfer team in the Fall of 2010, having been ordained that year from Hebrew College Rabbinical School. She has especially contributed to the foundation's conceptual work on models such as Jewish fluency, Jewish Sensibilities and Applied Jewish Wisdom. She developed the Jewish Sensibilities Deck (jewishsensibilities.org)Lee holds an MS in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan, where her thesis addressed Shabbat as an Environmentally Sustainable Institution, and a BA in Religious Studies from Wesleyan University. Prior to becoming a rabbi, Lee worked in the fields of organizational development and spiritual retreat production, and spent many moons living and studying in Israel. She served as Interim Director of the Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality and Rabbinic Intern at Temple Beth Zion in Brookline, MA. Lee enjoys traveling, yoga, theology, and dancing, and her album Rava D'Ravin features Hebrew and English chants. Living in Ohio's Cuyahoga River Valley where she was raised, Lee also serves Hillel at Kent State as their Senor Jewish Educator.
